Welcome and thank you for checking in with us!

We're excited to have church online with Facebook live and want to invite you to join us every Sunday at 10 am BST. We are excited to start a new study through the letter written to the Colossians that is relevant to us today.

Why does Paul write this letter to the church? 4 things are highlighted:

1. To emphasise the greatness of Jesus Christ! His authority, His power, His accomplishments, and what that means for us as we follow Him.

2. To warn them of false teachings that taught a "religious relativism." Their culture were combining elements of paganism, secular philosophy, and the worship of angels, with Christian doctrine.

3. To encourage them practically to live as Christians and not as the world. The responsibility to daily "put off" the old man of the world, and "put on" the new man who has been redeemed by Jesus Christ.

4. To remind them to pray for open doors to share the Gospel. There's also some important instructions on family relationships on how to treat one another.

I love the truth that Paul testifies about Jesus Christ in chapter 1:19-20...

"For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross."

May we all be encouraged and strengthened as we study God Word in the coming weeks!

Blessings in Christ!
